chocolate brownie - orange layer cake?

I'm thinking of taking my brownie recipe and making it into a chocolate brownie/orange layer cake.
possible orange cake recipes I'm thinking of the bottom layer being brownie and the top layer orange cake. with two frostings, one orange-more of a syrup than a frosting, in the middle, and the other, a chocolate frosting, on top. And perhaps some candied oranges on top of that. and perhaps the bottom layer could be soaked in orange liquor or something like that. to be continued...
